About Me
I am a recent grad of Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in Film and Television and a minor in Environmental Studies. I aim to be a documentary filmmaker in the Chicago area.
My interest in film started through making video edits of my favorite tv shows in middle school. This influenced my decision to pursue film editing in college, which turned into an exploration of cinematography and directing as well. One of my latest projects is Lights Out, a short documentary about Chicago’s bird collision problem. The film was selected for the upcoming Wild and Scenic On Tour Program for 2024-2025.
Lights Out
Lights Out uncovers why Chicago is the most deadly city for migratory birds. Chicago's location, building design, and light pollution all contribute to the window collisions that kill thousands of birds each year. Experts David Willard and Annette Prince discuss how this happens and why it is detrimental to the balance of the ecosystem. We have a responsibility to protect these birds during their incredible feat of migration and the solution can be as simple as turning off the lights.
